DIVORCE REFORM
PROPOSALS IN GERMANY
BERLIN, January 26. Proposals by the committee of th« Academy of German Law for divorce reform* include empowering Courts to order divorce on the application of ths Public Prosecutor, apparently irrespective of whether it is desired by either party. Such divorces should be given only where marital relationships are shattered, but, according to the Nazi theory, they may be regarded as shattered if, despite friendly relations between man and wife, a marriage lacks moral value, embracing criminality, immorality, or Communism, in either parly.
