FUNDS FOR DANCER
The proposal to send Bebe ("Baby") Witts Burt to England for training in dancing was considered further when a meeting of the committee set up to raise funds was' held last week. The Mayor of Lower Hutt (Mr. J. W. Andrews) presided. Arrangements were made for benefit performances in Wellington and Lower Hutt during February and March, the principal event in the Hutt Valley to be a dance at which Lady Roberts and Mrs. J. W. Andrews will be hostesses, and in Wellington a benefit concert by the Wellington Grand Opera Society and the Wellington Operatic Society. "Baby" Witts is being ti-ained by Mr. Joe Knowsley for special -farewell numbers at these functions.
