MR. FRASER CONGRATULATED

Congratulations to the Hon. F. Fraser on his appointment as Minister of Education were extended by the chairman of the Wellington Technical College Board of Governors (Mr. W. H. Bennett) at a meeting of the board last night.

"Since we last met," said Mr. Bennett, "there has been another change in the Minister of Education. I think that is the seventh Minister of Education I have served. under as chairman of this board. I am sure that as far as his colleagues will allow him, the present Minister: of Education will have as much, if not jrhore, interest in technical education than his predecessors." ;- -

Mr..Bennett said that Mr. Fraser always had a great interest in the Wellington Technical College, On the motion of Mr. Bennett it was decided to send a letter of congratulation to Mr. Fraser.' . ''•;. ';"..'

Referring to the late Minister of Education (the Hon. S. :G.-Smith) Mr. Bennett said the board had always found him intensely interested in technical education. It was decided to thank the late Minister of Education on the interest he had shown in technical education while in office.
