STAND COLLAPSES
BROTHERS INJURED
(By Telr' —Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, January 26,
The collapse this afternoon of a heavy timber stand supporting a 400----gallon water tank resulted in severe injuries to two brothers —Cedebor Sunde, aged seven, and Robert Sunde, aged two, sons of Mr. F. Sunde, of Oratia.
The boys were playing outside their home near the tank when the stand, about five feet in height, gave way. The lads were pinned underneath the stand, both receiving severe head injuries, the elder boy also receiving a broken leg. . The heavy tank, which was almost full, crashed to the ground only a foot away from them. It struck heavily and was severely rent.
The boys' parents were absent at a funeral, medical assistance being summoned by neighbours. The boys were later admitted to the Auckland Hospital, the condition of the younger one being serious.
