ON THE BOUNDARY
A Canadian girl and her American sweetheart have gone one better than Gretna Green and have been married in two countries at once. The Canadian immigration ' authorities refused to , allow Johnny Graveline, of Glen Falls, New York, to enter Canada for his marriage to a girl from Verdun, Quebec. Johnny was not discouraged, however, and love soon found a way. He and the girl—whose name has not been revealed—met.near the villages of Highgate Springs, Vermont, and St. Armand, Quebec, on the international boundary. The bridegroom and a United States J.P. stood on the American side of the border and the bride remained on the Canadian side. . After, the marriage ceremony the couple em-' braced— being careful not ; to overstep the line—and parted.
