Dominion croquet championships yesterday. The weather was perfect, and the greens fast. There were several surprises, notably the elimination of A. G. F. Ross by E. W. Burgin, and H. Perm by F. C. Bryan in the men's championships. Mrs. Wood beat Miss Skeet in the open event. Results:— Open Championship.—First round: Mrs. Wood beat Miss Skeet, 2G-23, 26-20; Mi's. Thomson beat Mrs. Gambrill, 19-20, 26-19, 26-23; F. C. Bryan beat Mrs. Mouat, 20-6, 26-0; F. L. Hartncll beat Mrs. Caldow, 26-20, 26-24; A. J. Gibbs beat H. Perm, 26-14, 26-20; Mrs. Pitlcaithly beat Mrs. Anstis, 26-25, 14-26, 20-24; Mrs. Clark beat Mrs. Bartlctt, 26-17, 26-24. . . . . Men's Championship.—Second life, first round: H. P. Stratton beat A.
