RADIO AMATEURS' DEMON-

STRATION

(By Telegraph— Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, This Day.

Over 200 members of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters operating amateur stations to mark the national day of mourning will at seven o'clock on Tuesday evening sound a high-pitched whistle by holding down the keys of their transmitters for three minutes similar to the demonstration made by the' amateurs of Britain on Armistice Day.

The following motion was passed at the meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board yesterday afternoon, members standing in silence:—"This board desires to place on record the expression of its deepest sympathy with the members of the Royal Family in their bereavement and of its sorrow in' the great loss the Empire has sustained by the death of our beloved King."
