SWIMMING
PETONE CLUB'S MEETING
There was a good attendance of members and the public at the Petone Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club's weekly club night at the McKenzie Baths last evening. The club events were keenly contested, and good times recorded.
The B grade water polo match be-. tween Wellington and Petone was won by Petone by one goal to nil. J. Cleland scored for Petone in the first spell. The game was an interesting one, the Petone players showing marked improvement.
Results were as follows:— 33 1-3 Yards Junior Girls.—J. Berrington, 1; E. Collins, 2. Time, 25sec. 33 1-3 Yards Junior Boys.—X. Dickenson, 1. Time, 24 2-ssec. Intermediate Girls, ,33 1-3 Yards.—M. Edwards, 1; M. Boswell, 2; A. Parr, 3. Time, 24sec.
33 1-3 Yards, Senior Men. —J. May, 1; J. Cleland, 2; J. A. McKnight, 3. Time, 19 3-ssec. 100 Yards Relay.—J. May's team, 1; J. Cleland's team, 2; Miss Sargisson's team, 3. Dive. —T. Garner, 1; Miss B. Strang, 2; R. Cleland, 3. Water Polo, B Grade.—Petone, 1; Wellington, 0. Mr. W. Look was referee.
