DEATH OF COBRAS

Two of the five cobras bought for the Melbourne Zoological Gardens in September from an Indian "magician," who was not allowed to travel in Australia with them, have died. The fangs of the cobras were removed before they were sent to the gardens. Following the operation the two cobras which eventually died became affected with canker of the jaw. The three remain, ing cobras are in excellent condition.
