The depression which was crossing the Dominion on Saturday was followed by a sllßht secondary. South-westerly winds prevailed throvghout in western and far northern districts, but on the east const nortlicrllcs prevailed for much of the weekend. I.ast nisht, however, southerlies became general. The weather has been rather unsettled in Westhind and far southern portions of tlio South Island and scattered light rains have fallen also in western districts of the North Island mid eastern of the South, but for the most part the weather has been fine with moderate temperatures.
