Squier, New York who is making a Pacific tour, arrived in Wellington this morning by the Makura. - — Mr and Mrs. Rodney Thomson, Tinakori Road, who have been staying with Mr Justice Blair and Mrs. Blair at Rot'orua, returned to Wellington last night. Lady Sandeman-AUen, England, arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Remuera. Miss Stuart Menteath, who is a member of the Mardsen School teaching staff, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Remuera from an extended tour of England and the Continent. She was met by her mother Mrs. StuartMenteath, of Havelock North, and at present they are staying at Croydon House, Hill Street. Mrs Wallace Wilton is staying wih her mother, Mrs. A. W. Press, Day's Bay. Mr and Mrs. Gordon Short have returned to Wellington after, an absence of several months in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Miss Marjorie Cooke, Karori, has just returned to Wellington by aeroplane after spending a holiday in the Marlborough Sounds. Mrs R C. Anketell, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. Bagley, Parnell, Auckland, arrived in Wellington on Saturday. Mrs T B. Darrall, Mrs. J. W. Robinson, and Mrs. W. Dyer have left on an extended tour of the North Island by motor-car. Miss W: Hannan, Tuatapere, was a passenger by the Marama, and intends ■ to stay several weeks in Wellington. I Dr. and Mrs. J. Andrews, who have been visiting Wellington for the Snedden-James wedding, have returned to Auckland. Mrs. A. H. Tocker, Christchurch, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D.
