VICTORIA HOSPITAL
A happy Christmas was spent in the women's ward at. ; Victoria . Hospital. The decorations were bright,' and were carried out by some of the nurses of the Wellington-. Hospital staff. Thelampshades were very -artistic,'' made in Japanese style in , almost every shade. The "novelty house" was a picture, being painted cream with the window « facings of green. It; had a beautiful flower garden, with, an oldfashioned lady dressed in a crinoline frock of1 blue picking flowers. The ward, was arranged with palpis and flowers. Special credit is due to the nurses who worked;so hard in doing everything possible" to'make Christinas so cheerful" for the patients.■-, Miss Morey (Dunedin University), who took the part of' Father Christmas,- presented each patient with an acceptable gift,' making happy remarks to each person. Miss Cooksori (Lady Superintendent), Dr. Thome (Superintendent), members of the staff, Dr. and Mrs. O'Regan, arid others paid a visit to the ward and joined-in the general interchange of good wishes.1 ■-,
