MR. J. R. MACDONALD TC STAND

I LONDON, December 27. The Association of Unionist Graduates of the Scottish Universities agreed to nominate Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald for the vacancy due to the' death of Mr. A. M. Skelton. Mr. Mac Donald has accepted the invitation to stand for the Scottish Univepsities. The other candidates are Professor Gibb (Scottish Nationalist), defeated at the General Election, and MrThomson (Labour).- The result is expected in the middle of February. It is understood that Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald is prepared to stand for Rosscromarty if invited, but the Scottish Liberal Federation is threatening to produce an Independent candidate if the local Liberals choose Mr. Mao Donald. ■ . ■
