CHAMPIONSHIP TO H. SMITH

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI," December 26. The North Island rifle championship meeting was concluded on the Putiki Range today. The championship aggregate was .won by H., K. Smith (Opaki), with a score of 290. A. Doidge (Wanganui) was runner-up with an aggregate of 285, and a point behind were J. Thompson (Woodvillei, I. Ford (Wanganui), P. Berry (Tararua), and H. Simmonds (Auckland City), all of whom made 284. The B grade, aggregate was won by B. Hedges (Wanganui) with 278. Wanganui won > the teams match, the Defence'Rifle-Club's team finishing with an aggregate of- 714. The same club's No: ,2 team were the runners-up, finishing with a total of 701.
