LATEST ACHIEVEMENT

A GLASS DINNER TABLE

I "The latest achievement of the manufacturers is a glass dinner table. I saw, it the other . day and thought it most attractive," writes a London correspondent. "It had none of the 'spindly' look of smaller glass tables, but rested on heavy glass pedestals at either end and had .a deep, glass table top. Such a table, ; one felt, would make, a perfect; setting for. a. successful dinner party. The smaller. glass coffee and tea tables to be seen just now are also rather charming. They have rims of chromium and are of a comfortable, low size to go beside one's chair. A coffee table may be set with a glass coffee service, in which the glass cups are banded with narrow lines of platinum or colour. For tea tables there are tea sets in which even the tea pot and milk jug are of glass."
