MR. MICHAEL J. SHEAHAN

(By Telegraph—tress Association.) • AUCKLAND, This Day. The death has occurred of Mr. Michael Joseph Sheahan,' acting consular agent for Italy. Born at Mallow, County Cork, lie arrived at Auckland in 1861 and became known .throughout the Dominion as a Catholic layman and Rugby football administrator. He visited Britain in 1932, attending the Eucharistic Congress at Dublin. His wife died fourteen years ago, nnd ho is survived by an only daughter, Mrs. Reuben O'Brien. -He was 79 years old : al. his death. .
