MUSSOLINI WAITING
WATCHING DEVELOPMENTS
ROME, December 18. Signor Mussolini received the news of Sir Samuel Hoare's resignation as he was about to take the chair at the meeting of the Fascist Grand Council which opened at 10 p.m. and adjourned at 5 a.m.
A communique issued subsequently states that the Council, examined the political situation in relation to the Franco-British peace proposals, and adjourned until December 20 It is understood that. Signor Mussolini wishes to await developments in London and Pans before making definite decisions
