TE ARO SCHOOLS' CONCERT.

The pupils attending the, Te Aro Schools presented an excellent concert to a large and appreciative gathering of parents: and friends.at the Trades Hall recently.. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Child were in charge of the wellarranged programme. The talent shown-by the children was outstanding in quality, and ■ reflected -.' credit upon their'teachers.' V Girls from standards V and VI gave two class items, and boys of standard VI an amusing two-act playette. Flanoforte items were given by Nola Young and Norma ; Tingey; songs by Margaret Mears, Bertha Holtmayer. Joan Boyd, and Betty Rogers; recitations by Betty Campbell, Allan Mallard, Winnie Wilkinson, Edna Winter, Betty Watt, June Cross, Ken Child, Ngaire Plackett, Kitty Spurley, Ngaire Jensen, and Jean Ivan. Dances of various kinds were:' performed by Yvonne Algar, Peggy Hill; A. Thompson, Audrey McLeod, by a tap trio (Joyce Hobson, V. Wilkinson, ... and Shirley Nancarrow), and by R. Wilkins, S. Montgomery, Pearl Rasmusson, V. Adams, Lorna Collins, I. Mercer, Heather Knott, Ferns Rigby, I. Rutland, Jack Defter, Connie Chalk, D. Fitchett, Elsie Shaw, and, Lois Thompa' Russian ballet was also given by the pupils of Mrs. Parlett Miss Potter was at ths piano, and able assistance was given, by Mrs. Parlett, Mrs. Oates, Miss. Joan Benge, and Miss Hazel Martin.
