WATER POLO

Lyall Bay defeated University in an A grade championship water polo match played at Te Aro Baths last evening by 4 goals to nil. The winning team played a fine game, and revealed combination which was too much for University.' Watson scored three goals, and J. Meikle one. ,Mr. V. L. Allan was the referee.

Wellington succeeded' in defeating Maranui B in the junior grade match by 3 goals to nil. Both teams played a vigorous game, and the standard of play was high considering the limited experience of many of the players. J. Thomas, L. McDonald, and D. Evans scored. The referee was Mr. B. Mclvor.

Lyall Bay B won by default from Evans Bay.

At last night's meeting of the Victoria University College Council Mr. P. Levi and Professor T. A. Hunter were reappointed representatives of the college on the council of the Mas-sey^Agricultural-College. :,
