The Austrajian authorities had communicated with Professor Fraenkel pointing out that it was impossible.to arrarfge lectures in the Christmas season. Dr.' Gordon received the first advice of Professor Fraenkel's arrival on December 6, and no direct advice was received ■ from the Professor. Under the circumstances no action was taken by the society. ■ . >

"The science of obstetrics is international," added Dr. Gordon. "The society regrets that the distinguished visitor was. unable to come to the Dominion at a season when members could benefit by his .visit."
