ON WAY TO MELBOURNE

MELBOURNE, December 15. Having spent the night in the cabin of the wrecked aeroplane, the Lepena's passengers were taken to Smithton, Tasmania, by launch yesterday, and will be taken to Melbourne by air today.

The Lepena, a Holyman airliner, of the DHB6 type, carrying two pilots and eight passengers, made a forced landing on Hunter Island off the west -coast of Tasmania on Friday owing to a wing crumpling in mid-air.
