JUMP IN PRICE OF WHEAT

The price of wheat jumped 3 cents per bushel, the maximum permitted under the exchange regulations' on the opening of the grain exchange. Prices were retained at the advance throughout a tumultuous session, in which 10,000,000 bushels of Canadian wheat were sold for export at the close. . i Quotations are: December. 86 1-8 cents per- bushel; May, 89 7-8; July, 90.1-8. ■.;..:>.. -.:
