According to advice received vessels'of the Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company engaged-in the Pacific Coast to 'New Zealand freight service ■ are to resume calling at British Columbian ports while loading for New Zealand. The Golden State is to commence the new schedule, loading at Seattle, on January 17,. at British Columbian ports on, January 20, at San Francisco on January 28. sailing finally from Los Angeles on February 1 for" Auckland and- Wellington. She will be followed by the Golden Coast, leaving Seattle on February 15. ' ' The O. and O. Line controls a fleet of 17 steamers,, all. built during the period 1919-1921, and ranging in tonnage from over 5000 to over 7000. In earlier years, when business was brisk, and there was considerable building activity, the vessels used to stay a ' considerable time on the New. Zealand ' coast, discharging large cai-goes '• of I timber, but now.the ports of .call are' usually only Auckland and Wellington. '
