MACHINE SHOP ABLAZE

Shortly after six o'clock this morning the Fire Brigade was called to an outbreak of fire at 135 Adelaide Road, where an outbuilding used as a machine shop by the Excelsior Furnishing Co. had caught alight. The fire had gained a considerable hold before the blaze was noticed, and although the brigade quickly suppressed the outbreak considerable damage had been done to the building and its contents. The cause of the fire is unknown.
