ORDERED TO RETURN
WIFE WHO LEFT HOME
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
AUCKLAND, This Day. In the Supreme Court today Mr. Justice Callan remarked that he could not understand the petitioner having taken a lawyer with him when he interviewed his wife at her mother's home with a view to persuading her to return to him. The parties were Leslie James Wall and Mavis Amelia Wall, of Apata, near Tauranga. The petitioner said that one morning on returning from milking he found a letter from his wife stating that she was leaving him. She had .done this on a previous occasion. His Honour: Do you swear to me that you want her back and will be happy to see her? Petitioner: Yes. In making an order for the wife's return within fourteen days his Honour said the fact that on the first occasion the petitioner had made a successful attempt to get his wife back decided him to accept the sworn statement of the petitioner that he was sincere in wanting his wife back.
