BROOKLYN CLUB PRIZES
. The annual presentation of cups and trophies of the Brooklyn Miniature Eifle Club took place last Thursday night in the clubrooms. There was a gathering of approximately 100 members and friends. Among those present Wtere Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., and Mr. and Mrs. A. I. G. Wilson.
In appreciation of Mr. and Mrs. Lawton's services during the year Mr. Wright, on behalf of the club, presented to them a beautiful fire screen.
The following is a complete list of the season's competition and cup winners:—First series: A grade, P. Chandler 1,. P. Jouning 2; B grade, Miss A. Cockroft 1, Mrs. Tucker 2. Second series: A grade, G. Boddy 1, Miss Cockroft 2; B grade, Miss T. Richardson 1, Miss L. Chalk 2. Third series: A grade, R. Watson 1,. P. Chandler 2; B grade, E. Burbush 1, Miss L. Chalk 2. Fourth series: A grade, H. Dore 1, P. Chandler 2; B grade, Miss L. Chalk 1, K. Harrison 2. Fifth series: A grade, R. Leckie 1, V. Abbott 2; B grade, E. Annabell 1, E. Burbush 2.
Club champion, P. Chandler (Perkins Cup; lady champion, Miss A. Cockroft (Tanera Cup). B grade champion, E. Burbush (Skilton Cup).
Mr. and Mrs. Turner's handicap cups: A grade, R. Leckie; B grade, E. Burbush. Morris points cup: P. Chandler. Swindon points cup: Miss A. Cockroft. Jamison cup (for best average): B. Keys. C grade cup (for most improved shot): K. Harrison. Ladies' consolation: Mrs. Harrington. Miss Harper's trophy; Miss A. Cockroft. W.M.R.A. medal, 1934 (aggregate interclub matches): A. J. Westwood. Christmas lamb winners: Mrs. Lawton, V. Abbott, E. Annabell, and E. Bunting. ; Part of the evening was devoted to dancing and musical and other items included a much appreciated one by Miss Esme Chalk.
! PETONE LADIES' CLUB
On Tuesday last members of the Petone Ladies' Rifle Club committee were entertained by the club and all present in the Christmas shoot.A very time was spent by all present, among the toasts being those of the senior and life member of the club (Mrs. Wild), officers of the club, vice-presidents, and life members. Mrs. Porter (president), on behalf of the committee, thanked members for the entertainment, and while regretting that Mrs. Stickells and Mrs. Scroggs were unable to be present, expressed the pleasure of all present that Mrs. Ryder had been able to come along. Mrs. Bryan (deputy president), on behalf of the committee made presentations to Mrs. Porter and Miss Wild (secretary) in appreciation, of the help they had given during the year. Mrs. Marsden's trophy for a sealed number was presented to Mrs. Scott, and a happy season was brought to a close with the singing of "Auld | Lang Syne."
