ACTRESS'S SUICIDE
FAILURE IN FILMS
HOLLYWOOD, December 7.
Aleta Freel, aged 28, a stage actress, and the wife of Ross Alexander, a popular juvenile of the screen, shot and killed herself with a small calibre rifle outside their home today. Alexander told the police that he and his wife had been engaged in a "trifling spar." Shortly afterwards he heard a shot, ruslied from the house, and stumbled over his wife's body. The police learned that she was despondent over her failure in films after success on the New York stage.
