The lamb market in London remains quiet, says the weekly cabled report received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. Spot stocks and New Zealand lamb are short and there are, no official quotations this week. In the mutton market lightweight wethers remain steady and heavyweights are slightly easier with trade slow. There has been more inquiry for ewes and prices have advanced slightly. The frozen beef market is quiet and unchanged. Lightweight New Zealand porker pigs are in short supply and prices have advanced. Heavyweights are easier. The market for baconer pigs is quiet and unchanged.
