ARSON ALLEGED

FURTHER CHARGES MADE

PALMERSTON N., This Day.

A man whose name was suppressed until the hearing of the case appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., on a charge that about October 28 he committed arson by wilfully setting fire to a dwelling at 128 College Street. On the application of the police the accused was remanded till Friday next on bail. Another man was charged that on May 8 at Makotuku he committed arson by wilfully setting fire to the Makotuku Hotel. A similar remand was granted.

Regarding the charge relating to the house in College Street two men have already been committed for trial and one for sentence on a similar charge and another man has already been committed for sentence on a charge similar to that in respect of lhe ; Makotuku Hotel.
