THE NEW PILOT

MR. SAVAGE TAKES OVER

The Prime Minister (the Hon. M. J. Savage), took over the Prime Minister's suite on the ground floor of Parliament Buildings this afternoon. This morning he paid an informal visit to his quarters and met the members of his staff.

PRIME MINISTER ENTERTAINS

Immediately after their return from Government House this morning, members of Cabinet and pressmen met informally and were entertained by the P^rime Minister (the Hon. M. J. Savage). On behalf of those present, the "Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) briefly proposed the toast of Mr. Savage, and expressed the hope that he would live long to guide the destinies of New Zealand. The toast was honoured with enthusiasm and suitably acknowledged by Mr. Savage.
