CRASH INTO TENT
AEROPLANE KILLS ELDERLY

SYDNEY, This Day.
An aeroplane piloted by Mr. Douglas Way, in taking off from Crescent Head Beach, 310 miles north of Sydney, crashed into a party of campers in a font, killing Mrs. Violet McKernan, aged 60, and critically injuring her daughter Thelma, aged 23, and two boys who were also in the tent. Other campers had narrow escapes.
The aeroplane was wrecked. Mr. Way and his companion received minor injuries.
