REAL SUMMER WEATHER

NO CHANGE PREDICTED

Special forecast for Wellington:— Light and variable winds, with northerlies predominating. Weather fine and warm, with

some mist or fog in the mornings.

The general forecast for the Dominion as a whole, issued at noon today, is for light to moderate and variable winds, with north-easterlies to northerlies predominating. The weather for the most part will still be fine and warm, with mist or fog in many places, especially in the mornings. Some light showers are probable, too, in the southern part of Westland and in the far south.

I The meteorological situation is still dominated by an intense anti-cyclone, and the weather has continued to be fine generally with light and variable breezes. In the coastal areas of the South Island, however, it has been [rather cloudy and misty at times, and in | a few isolated places there, has been I some light rain.

It has been fine and warm in Auckland with a light south-westerly wind. Wellington had a perfect summer's day with 13.5 hours of bright sunshine. Winds were very light and somewhat variable, but since last evening it has been practically calm, and early this morning it was foggy. It was fine also in Christchurch where a north-easterly breeze freshened in the afternoon. Since last evening the weather there has been overcast and a trace of drizzling rain fell early this morning.

In Dunedin it has been fine but cloudy, with a light and variable wind. Eight points of rain fell there last night, and this morning it was overcast with a north-easterly breeze.
