BELMONT FLOWER SHOW
The annual flower show of the Belmont Women's Institute was held recently, and a large number of. members and friends . were welcomed. Competition was keen in all the classes, and judging proved difficult in many cases. An interesting exhibit was shown by the Arts and Crafts circle, and Miss Maddever congratulated the singing circle, on their success in winning the cup at the competitions held at the half-yearly council meeting.
The competition prizes, given by Mesdames Prestidge and McArtney, were won by Mesdames Hirst, and Allsop. After tea had been served the prizes were presented to the successful competitors.
The Gardenings Circle was recently entertained at afternoon tea by Mrs. Hardwick-Smith, and a delightful and interesting time was spent in her lovely garden.
