PEACE WITH HONOUR
READY FOR PROPOSALS
WISH FOR TERRITORIAL CONCESSION
REPORT IN FRANCE
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 4. The Paris correspondent of. the "Daily Mail" says it is stated in wellinformed circles that Signor Mussolini has made it known that he is ready to consider proposals for a definite peace settlement which would satisfy Italy's honour and also give her a substantial territorial concession in some form or another. It is even thought that if satisfactory proposals emerge from the meeting of M. Laval and Sir Samuel Hoare, Signor Mussolini himself might make a move towards peace. One report widely current on both the Bo.urse and in' diplomatic circles is that a three weeks' armistice might be acceptable to Mussolini, in which time peace might be discussed and (he oil embargo postponed.
