LOAN PROPOSALS CARRIED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, December 4. : The raising of loans totalling £24,000 was sanctioned by ratepayers today. The Grey Power Board's proposal to borrow £16,000 for the purpose of, raising the level of the Kaimata dam and further reticulation was carried by 677 votes to 79. A proposal by the Greymouth Borough Council to borrow £8000 for the purpose of providing a water supply in Cobden was carried by Cobden ratepayers by 150 votes to 51.
