V- • Except for 'some light, isolated'showers' or misty rain in tho western and far southern districts, the weather has continued to be finis and warm generally under the influence of an extensive anticyclone. Yesterday winds were mainly northerly 'and light to moderate' but strong north-westerlies blew in parts •of the Cook and Foveaux Straits areas. By this morning they, had become light nearly eTervwhere and more variable in direction.
