LILY PONS.

Lily Pons, famed diva of the Metropolitan Opera Company, soars into the vocal stratosphere to sing what are probably the highest notes ever recorded on film for RKO Radio's "Love Song," her screen debut picture. The dainty prima donna, five feet tall, and 1041b of feminine loveliness, reaches'-13 natural (E above high C) with complete ease and without loss of tone value. In "Love Song" she is heard singing two grand opera arias, "Cara Nome" from "Rigoletto.V and "The Bell Song" from "Lakme," as well as four original popular songs written for the picture by Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields. The songs are a logical part of a human interest drama replete with comedy and romance.
