WOODEN SPOONS
For many kitchen purposes wooden spoons are better than metal ones, states an exchange. They are easier to grip and their handles do not get hot. When fruit or vegetables have to be rubbed through a sieve a wooden spoon should always be used. For stirring soup or jam the new shape of wooden spoon with a square corner is excellent. It fits closely along the bottom and side of the pan. and prevents the contents from sticking.
Aii old wooden spoon makes a safe and handy spade for a small child to play with on the beach or in a garden sand-box.
