FLYING HOLIDAY
With a pilot's licence gained only last January in her pocket, a London girl stepped out from her tiny Puss Moth, aeroplane at Le Bourget aerodrome, Paris, having flown across most of Europe in just over a month. Only twenty-two years of age, Miss Betty Malcolm had taken off from Brooklands aerodrome on September 5 on a solo flight to Algiers. Afterwards she flew to Strasbourg, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, and Bucharest. She went on to Le Bourget in one "hop" from Munich in 4J hours. Miss Malcolm is the daughter of General H. H. L. Malcolm, of Bournemouth. She was reported lost for a week during a car tour on the Continent last year, but arrived safely in London soon alter-1 wards. ■ I
