OBITUAEY
FATHER W. SKINNER
The Rev. Father W. Skinner died in Wellington on Friday. ■ Fath<^ Skinner, who was about fifty>six yeaVsof age, was a champion athlete in his younger days. For three years he was a chaplain in the Great War. Prior to his illness, from which he failed to recover, he was parish priest at Otahuhu, Auckland, and previously held a similar position at Waiuku. The Rev. Dr. Mcßae, of Wellington, is a nephew.
The funeral took place yesterday. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Buckle Street. The three priests who officiated were Monsignor Connolly (Kilbirnie), Father Collins (Dunedin), and Father I. Daly (Upper Hutt). They were former fel-low-students of the deceased at Mosgiel.
