REGATTA AT NELSON

NELSON. December 2
A large number of sailing boats, launches, and other small craCt pre-' sented a picturesque scene on the harbour on Saturday afternoon when the Power Boat Club, Aurora Sailing Club, and the Nelson Rowing Club combined in a regatta. The weather and sea conditions were ideal.
Results:—Launch Race.—A. Brown's Waione, 1; E. A. Bradshaw's Tui 2W. Gould's Lady Philco, 3. Sailing (Idle Along Class).—Slipper (sailed by D. Hargreaves), 1; Colleen (Stewart Bros.), 2; Tainui (Coote Bros.), 3.
Sailing (A Class).—Valkyrie (D Everett), 1; Rose (G. Dodson), 2; Scandal (H. Coltman), 3. Second Launch Race.—A. Brown's Waione, 1; G. A. Day's Awanui, 2; J. A. Harley's Nancy, 3. Sailing (B Class).—Marunui (D. Collins), 1; Sea Mew (K. Weldon) 2Avenger (D. Hargeavcs), 3. Rowing Race.—A. Forster. L. Gubb. U Scott, Ricketts, Foster (cox) won from W. McKenzie, E. Parker, J. Allen. F. Clark, and Perry (cox).
