B.S.A. MATCH RESULTS

CLUB NEWS AND NOTES

The detailed results of the B.S.A. match are now to hand. Essex are on top this year with the flne score of 395S ex 4000. Ontario (Canada) are second with 3954, Middlesex third with 3940, and Canterbury (X.z.) fourth with 3948. Wellington, although they improved tielr score this year, fell further back In the lbt, finishing 12th.. Their scoro is 3932. The following are the details:

AOTEA CLUB. The annual social and presentation of prizes was held in the. Oddfellows' Hall on November 20. There was an attendance' of over 140 and a very enjoyable evening was spent Musical items were contributed by Mrs. Phlllpott, Messrs. Collins and Pitt. Competitions and dancing provided amusement. The competition winners were Mrs. Colorabus, Miss Foley, Miss Dawson, and Messrs. Cowman, Scott, Chapman, and Preston.

Ruun«r-up, club trophy, 15. Mottram. , PETONE LADIES' CLUB. I A competition was fired last week In which there was no sighter and no marking. Mrs. Bryan and Sirs. Jounstone tied with 69 each. In the fire-off Mrs.- Johnstone won the first prize, donated by Hiss Pratley, and Mrs. Bryan won MIS 3 'N. Gregory's trophy. A competition covering two scores and ftreu under the kord Roberts system was finalised last week arid resulted as follows:—Members prior to 1935: Mr. Pratley's trophy, Mrs. Marsden; club trophy, Mrs. Hobbs. 1935 members: Mr. Porter's trophy, Mrs. Morton: club trophy,. Miss E. Crotty. PUBLIC SERVICE CLUB. With an aggregate score of 395 ex 400 H. V Croxton successfully competed for the «ltcomhe and Caldwell Cup. The result was: H. V. Croxton 395, W. A. Nicholson 394, A. R. Crai" 391. I>. A. Kosie 388, R. D Potts 384. Mrs. Croxton won the Tlsdall Cup with an aigregate of 375. Mrs. Furlong was next with 371 Lands and Survey and Education tted for the Inter-departmental Shield. In a shoot-off Croxton defeated .Nicholson, giving the honours to Education. The "wind-up" for the season was held on Uie range A novel' "blind shooting" competition resulted in good scoring. The targets were inverted and competitors had to judge the position of the "bull." Mr. M. R. HuUotTs judgment was excellent and his score of uS was easily the best. Mr. UR.
