WANTS TO BE A "G" MAN

An English policeman has written to Mr: J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation and head of the famous "G Men," to ask him for a job. The policeman, whose name is not disclosed, describes .himself as having been a coroner's clerk, and as "keen on all sporting events, an excellent car-driver, a good shot with rifle arid revolver, and not scared of" anything." "I realise that there are plenty of suitable men in America who can fill any vacancy that may arise," he wrote, "but I am writing on the off-chance that an Englishman might be- considered." The unknown English policeman's application is certain to" be rejected because of the stipulation that all "G Men" must be citizens of the United States.
