Fire destroyed a two-storeyed eightroomed wooden dwelling and contents at Milford Beach shortly after midday. There was no one in the house at the time. Adjoining residences were seriously threatened. A large crowd gathered on. the. beach, during the fire. The house was insured with the ' Royal Office, but the contents were not cov,erecL
