MERCANTILE LEAGUE
REPRESENTATIVE PRACTICES
The following players have been chosen by the Mercantile League Cricket Association's sole selector; Mr. J. Young, to attend special practices in view of the association's coming representative games with the Hutt Valley Cricket Association at Athletic / Park on December 26 and 27, arid wjih the Christchurch Suburban Association at Christchurch on January 1 and/2. The practices, which are to be held/at Newtown Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m., will commence this afternoon and continue until Christmas.
The players chosen are Maech, Robinson, Stiver (Woolworths),/ Liddicoat, Herd (Amalgamated Bricks'), Trott (Insurance Officers), Yeoirmn (Seatoun), A. Martin, Jupp (RosetVeath), Kilby, Melville (Jasco), Crook'(Pastimes), Aldridge, Phillips (Prestige), Jeffrey, H. Trewick (Hospital), Woley (Sargoods), Mallard (Ferguson ana'Osborn), Cullen (Customs), de Clifford; McKenzie (Public Trust), Swain GPflilk Department), Baker (Atlantic Union), Amies (Excelsior), Torrington,: Johnstone (Taubmans), W. Johnson, A. S. Barr (Celtic), Darragh (Labour-Tourist).
Other players \vill be added to the above twenty-nine following next Saturday's games. Any player not available for selection -is asked to notify the secretary of the league, Mr. W. Perkins, or, the sole selector, immediately.
