NEW YORK, November 30.

Jock McAvoy, 12st o£lt>, from Lancashire, middleweight and light-heavy-weight champion of the British Empire, made an impressive American debut at Madison Square Garden tonight decisively outpointing Al McCoy, 12st 2£lb. the Boston light-heavy-weight.

McAvoy won seven of the ten rounds and received the unanimous vote of the referee and two judges.

The visitor displayed a large assortment of punches, including a right to the jaw which once had his opponent on the floor and several other times had him on the verge of- a knock-out.
