HUTT LADIES' CLUB

The closing day of the Hutt Ladies' Club took place on Wednesday, when a flag match was played, resulting in the senior division, Miss N. Ballinger, and in the junior division Mrs. Hughes, winning. In the afternoon a one-club competition was played, the winner being Mrs. E. C. Wiren. The trophies won during the year were presented by the club captain, Mrs. Jack, as follows: —Senior championship, Mrs. Slater; runner-up, Miss Lee; junior championship, Mrs. Fleming; runnerup, Miss Sangster; L.G.U. silver medal, Mrs. Slater; L.G.U. bronze medal, Mrs. Davis; Riddiford medal, Miss Sangster; Foreman Cup, Mrs. E. C. Wiren; Spiers Cup (record score), Mrs. Slater; Wilford Cup, Miss Dawson; captain's trophies, Mrs. Moss and Miss Young; Mrs. Admore's trophy, Mrs. E. C. Wiren; Mrs. Partridge's trophies, Mrs. J. Macdonald and Miss Sangster; Mrs. Slater's trophy, Mrs. E. C. Wiren; Mrs. Crombie's trophy, Miss E. Ballinger; Miss Warden's, trophy, Miss Stewart; Miss N. Ballinger's trophy, Mrs. Fleming; Mrs. Wagg's trophy, Mrs. K. Luke; Mrs. Jones's trophy, Mrs. Chas. Rogers; Mrs. Jones's trophy, runner-up, Miss Cummings.

The closing day trophies were donated by Mrs. Ashe and Mrs; Rainey. A presentation was made to the honorary secretary, Mrs. Wagg, and to Mrs. Jones, who has resigned from the position of cateress to the club.
