BOY'S SPINE FRACTURED

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, December. 1.

Climbing a tree in North Hagley: Park early this afternoon to recover a toy aeroplane which had become entangled in the branches, David Denley, aged 14, Hewitt's Road, Merivale, lost his hold and slipped. He fell 20 feet to the-ground, landing heavily on his feet, and was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital with a fractured spine. His condition is reported as serious.
