THE COUNTY CLUB
FINAL DANCE FOR 1935
Only one side of the Mayfair Cabaret ballroom was used for dancing when the-County Club held its final dance for the 1935 season on Saturday night, The other side was arranged i with little coloured cabaret tables decorated with orange and.yellow Iceland poppies . and marigolds and rriauve picatees. The dividing wall in the centre of the ballroom was banked- on top with masses of rhododendrons, and the supper, tables, which were ■ set in • both supper rooms, were gay with Iceland poppies. Many pretty frocks were worn and the youthfui dancers made the most of the excell?rit dancer .music. Those on the dance cuinmmee were Miss Moira Robertson (who wore bliick and gold spotted taffeta with a wreath at white peony roses around the front of the high neckline), Miss Ngaire Aplin (slim black marocain frock witu a gold girdle and a deep collar of golden sequins), and Miss Clarice Matheson (who.was in wineberry.arid white plaid, faille), and Messrs. Peter Thorpe, Pat, Kelly', and Bruce ClarkeV '■ Among .the/dancers werei Mr,, and Mrs. Harry-Atkinson, Mr. and Mrs. M.
