GENEROUS OFFER

SITE FOR CHEST HOSPITAL

(By Telegraph—Press Association.*)

AUCKLAND, This Day.

An anonymous donor has offered the Auckland .Hospital Board a farm of 207 acres as a free gift site for a ch.vst hospital. The chairman (Mr. W. Wallace) said this morning it was a magnificent offer, the only condition being that if the site was considered suitable the proposed chest hospital should be built there. He said he had met the owner recently travelling on a train, and after expressing deep interest in the treatment of tubercular cases the latter had offered to give the farm.

. As a result of a search for sites the board has a number offered for sale and is awaiting a report on' them by the honorary staff, which will also report on the site now offered as a gift.
